Type O is an innovator in the goth/metal world with the inimitable voice of Peter Steele. You can find Steele in another great thrash metal group CARNIVORE! The record(s) is excellent and some of the best writing; tongue in cheek, serious but not too serious. Awesome!

I have always loved metal music of all kinds. I didn't hear much from this group and what I did hear wasn't something that grabbed me. However, that changed when I heard Black No. 1 on sat radio. It was part way through the song and the voice had me caught in a death grip. So far I have discovered this album is worth the purchase. Keep your mind open and give this a shot ....

Don't get disillusioned by the cover of this one. Type O Negative don't take themselves too seriously, but the do it professionally. Start this gothic journey and soon you will be carried away by its great atmosphere and the fantastic vocals of Peter Steele. Pay attention to "Christian Woman," and especially "Summer Breeze", which is the best song in this album.
