Thank you to what music gods still remain! I have been waiting for a new studio TOP album since Oakland Zone (2003)! Well, they have returned with a vengeance. With the exception of three tracks, slower, ballad types, this album is straight up Tower of Power at their funky, in your face, horn powered best. This is what real funk was always meant to be. Auto tuning? Nope. Sampled tracks? Nope! Club beats? Nope! Just real musicians, performing real music. No Kanye, no DJ remixes, or latest rap flavor of the month here. Real music for real fans of music. I know some will take offense to my opinions, but ask me if I care... Tower of Power remains as one of the few musical groups still in existence today. If you are still one of the few people still searching for authentic, soul moving, can't stop that foot tapping, got to get up and dance, etc... (you get my meaning!), music, this album is a must.
