Without Revolver there would be no Sgt. Pepper...

There are many Beatles Fans who will recommend SGT PEPPER as the finest Beatles album, In reality Revolver is the greatest Beatles Album. It precedes SGT PEPPER - Revolver was released in 1966 - SGT PEPPER in 1967. The Beatles had ceased touring - they couldn't hear themselves on stage and their genius and innovative talents were being strangled and prohibited. They knew - ALL FOUR OF THEM, that touring was monotonous and repetitive and wasn't showing them at their best. Studio work - creativity - sounds music locked in their heads had to be produced and released and shaking mop top hair styles on stage was not going to do it fort them any more. Locked in Studio 2 art Abbey Road these magicians of sound - assisted by George Martin and Geoff Emerick would create, in Revolver, sounds and effects that had hitherto only been imagined by other artists. You must listen to Revolver from start to finish to fully appreciate the talent of these four guys. From the opening trac TAXMAN on through Eleanor Rigby to the final track TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS you will listen to and appreciate what these guys contributed to Pop Music - and that phrase POP Music should never be applied to Beatles Music - Beatles Music is Beyond Pop Music!! Magnificent ALBUM.
