Sound Barrier - Though never a major success, they broke the stereo type barrier between 1980's metal music and African Americans. Back then white guys played Metal and black guys did not. But Sound Barrier was originally an all African American band that played Metal... and did it very well. Check them out and wonder why they never became more well known, they should have!!
