There are many albums in the history of pop music which are 'hyped' for one reason or the other. This particular Peter Wyngarde-album has received that treatment due to the ultra-bizarre 'Rape'. What sick mind would do a 'novelty' song about a subject like rape? And especially in 1970 and issued by a major record company? This album shows how thin a line is between extreme beauty, sick interludes and an allover weirdness. While it's not an album to play out when you got visitors, it's much more than just 'Rape', it's actually quite an enjoyable album if you like some weirdness.
