Jon Mark Celtic Story (Vinyl)

As with all this remarkable New Zealand based artist's recordings, the themes you'll hear in Celtic Story are highly evocative of their subject matter. The story is set in the last peaceful days prior to the arrival in the Celtic regions of Britain, of the warlike Vikings. It sings with the undisturbed sounds of nature and innocence and from my first ever hearing of Celtic Story, my heart ached with the imagining of a peace only too soon to be shattered by a powerful enemy with the intent of furthering its conquest of the British Isles. I love Jon Mark's beautiful melodies but especially these, with their historical imagery.
