Jimi Hendrix The Cry Of Love

This is the first Hendrix album I bought. It is subtle and perfect. The tracks really show Hendrix's Guitar prowes. I think "nightbird flying" is the best track. The Album is well produced and Hendrix would have been proud of his efforts.

The work of Jimi Hendrix can be divided (if you are so inclined) in periods 'before stardom' / Records released by Jimi himself (while he was alvive) / posthumous releases that either still bear his approval / Posthumous releases for money's sake only / and on and on.
The Cry of Love is a record that Jimi was working on when he passed away. He never got to elease it himself, but people in his 'inner circle' finished it and put it out with much respect.
To me, this is my favorite of all Jimi Hendrix coherent studio albums. Furthermore it contains tracks that were important personally to Jimi, such as 'Room full of mirrors' and 'Angel'.
To me this is the crown on a series of studio albums ('Experienced'/'Axis'/'Ladyland') and I highly recommend it!
