Gotye Boardface

Like everyone else, I first heard of Gotye through "Somebody that I Used to Know." The song was great, and really unique, so I decided to dig deeper, finding several other ingenious works of art such as "Eyes Wide Open" and "Heart's a Mess." Gradually I traveled back in time through Gotye's mind, finding the strange, but captivating songs of his first album, Boardface.

The short lyrics of "Waiting for You" bring tears to my eyes every time I hear them. The chilling chords of "Baby" are now constantly playing in the car whenever I go somewhere, and even at home, as I sit here typing this up. Each and everyone one of the tracks on Boardface is unique and gives me just a glimpse of what goes on in Wally de Backer's genious mind. His music is true art.
