As a little kid in England I was listening to country on the radio hit parade – a fan of country before I knew what it was! Later on, in New Zealand, well I remember in the 1960's when night-time radio was great company and the Kiwi jocks spun continuity tracks among the play-lists. Night after night, up would come Floyd Cramer's "On the Rebound". How he played country music was second to none. Yet, it's not just country! If you're a Cramer fan, it's ALL here... How about that up-tempo rendition of "Chattanooga Choo Choo"? Yep there's rock 'n roll aplenty for a party; when you're tuckered out from hitchin' yer britches, rockin' an' clackin' yer dentures around the Victrola, you'll find some ballroom among these gems. Yessiree, The Essential Floyd Cramer is now part of my vast collection.
