This has to be one of the best live albums around. I can listen from beginning to end and never a dull moment. Studio albums can be a little bland, depending on how many elements are pre-recorded, or added or enhanced in postpreduction. Live is the only indicator of a gelling of bandmates and quality of talents, in my mind. A venue like St. Annes Warehouse is built for an album like this. IMHO, some songs on this album sound even better, and a little more connected than their studio albums versions. I absolutely love The Moth, Sugarcoated, Long Shot and King Of The Jailhouse. Aimee's sense of humor is found in key parts, and being humble about her many talents leads me to believe my being "so tolerant" with being a fan of her music is like a special handshake for some special club. I feel that even though some of the songs are approaching or surpassed twenty years old as of this writing, they still hold relevance in todays world. Only songs with unique perspectives, and written with by great talents can be "timeless". This is the perfect melding of those elements. Don't miss out.
